Re: Servo Motors missing input signal & making clunking sound
there is nothing wrong with his zero max servo couplings, i have used them with excellent results with high end siemens motors and controls with no problems

Re: Potential Acroloc Conversion (Comments Appreciated)
why do you think the drives would be too old?
the old drives are probably +/- 10 volt analog velocity drives, an oak is supposed to operate velocity or position drives, you would just have to add encoders for the cnc

wireless scale feedback, has anyone tried it?
Hello I am interested in the feasibility of mounting a scale on a boring mill facing head and using a battery pack to power it and some type of transmitter to provide wireless feedback to a receiver that would be connected to an oak board encoder port. Has anyone attempted this and if it worked can ...

Re: Compatibility of servomotors and drivers with oak board
the 611 drives were made in both analog and digital drive bus versions. to verify you have the analog 611 drives and not the digital ones look for connector X321, terminal 56 and 14 are the +/- 10 v input and ref.

Re: Compatibility of servomotors and drivers with oak board
the siemens 611 drives from that machine should be the analog ones, you should be able to run them with no problem from the +/- 10v analog signal from a centroid control. the siemens motors have the tach and hall effect signals feeding the 611 module and the encoder signal would feed the centroid co...

Re: 436 servo drive shutdown
I did not have this info when i posted but key is 0625071069 , lathe kit A50283, DF led on dc3io is out
Thanks for the reply. I removed the cpu board from my mill and put it in the lathe, the problem has gone away. So it appears that the cpu10b board is bad.

436 servo drive shutdown
I have a cnc lathe with linux cnc10 v2.32 and a dc310 servo drive. I reconnected it after several years if in activity and now i get a 436 servo drive fault at power up, it had worked fine last time i used it. The bios battery is also dead and giving wrong date errors but i hope that does not matter...
