Ok I took the suggestion of using 6400 for the setting steps per rev The system now runs fast and smooth. It is pretty good on the travel when I command a 300mm travel using a engineering ruler. I was not expecting that kind of accuracy.
Perhaps I am looking at this wrong.
Are you saying that the reading is what the machine does, but because of the accuracy being low it shows actual travel ?
