Re: Problem with C86ACCP
Check your wiring to the servo 1 more time. I suspect you have a pair of pins swapped. Had the same problem when i fired up. Swore it was right. It wasnt

Re: 5x5 CNC - SDSK Build thread
Well. I have to say im definitely very happy woth the project. Qfter many hours of cutting, it does however appear i have pretttty decent backlash on the y axis. This is clearly eveident when cutting. Any advice on what i can do to shore up y axis lash before i attempt to use lash compensation in cn...

Re: Vectric Post Processor for Acorn
If you cant fix your drawing (its so annoying how offset jacks up vector geometry in aspire), play around with some of cnc 12s smoothing setting qnd you can get it to blast right through smoothly

Re: 5x5 CNC - SDSK Build thread
Eh so, had a few faults here or there. Seems to usually be at the beginning or the ending of a code, so im thinking its tied to z axis drive. Kinda just been running it though while i try and narrow it down. Did my first 3d carve today. A baffle for a small monitor speaker https://youtu.be/XhOah2xlK...

Re: C86ACCP out of stock, should I skip it?
Id also motion that the c86 seems good to me. Once i had my molex pinout correct, it was fairly straightforward, and got me up and running quickly

Re: X axis motor trips while running a job
Over the years I've had 2 cables that have had the 2 interior pairs swapped, but those motors would not enable I believe i had the black and white wires swapped (inner 2 cables bottom row of connector) EDIT* correction, the white and brown wires were swapped which was what made my clearpath only wa...

Re: X axis motor trips while running a job
In all of these tests, was it the same *cable* that resulted in lack of negative motion? I know you said that you tested other motors on the x axis port of the c86 and they all exhibited this behavior. Id be looking at wiring first for sure. My machine did something similar on first or 2nd boot up a...

Re: 5x5 CNC - SDSK Build thread
About 16 sheets of machining time in now. The machine is starting to remind me where i forgot to loctite, loosened a few bolts so i pulled all the m5 and m6 bolts out and inspected for loctite and retorqued them. The spindle started to sound a lil noisy today. Its warm in the shop (about 90 degree f...

Re: 5x5 CNC - SDSK Build thread
Alright. Things are going well. Autohome procedure completes reliably, m3 macro edited to include a 5 second dwell before spindle move. Loaded 20 sheets of 18mm material onto the storage shelf, re ran the auto tuner to account for some extra frame mass. Was gonna mess with RAS settings but they were...
