Re: G540 home switch question
Shaw: It's unclear on the wiring diagram whether or not the DB25 connector will handle all available I/O's from the G540. While it certainly handles the drives, it doesn't state or show anything regarding other I/O functions. So the question remains: does the Acorn recognize all available I/O's from...

G540 home switch question
The G540 has inputs for home/limit switches. If I'm using a G540 via. the DB25 connector, can the switches be connected to the G540 inputs, or do they need to be connected directly to the Acorn board? Or is it 6 of one, half-dozen of the other? Currently I'm not using any home or limit switches on m...

Re: Couple CNC 12 questions
In customizing the macro to my liking, I want to do a single tap, which I think I've gotten the second measurement deleted. Now, instead of the Z axis retracting to Z0, I want the final Z height after probing to be parameter 9013 (retract distance during probing) plus 9071(TT device height). So, aft...

Re: Couple CNC 12 questions
So, the macro is found in 2 locations: In cncm and in cncm\resources\wizard\macros
Which one is the "working" location? Working on a customization, and don't want to replace both if not necessary.

Re: Couple CNC 12 questions
Excellent, thank you for that info Scott. I will try that with Windows File Explorer next time I'm spending some quality time with it. Thanks also for the info on the Macro. Appreciated!

Couple CNC 12 questions
After getting used to the Acorn and CNC 12 (and loving both), there's a couple changes I'd like to make but so far can't find the answer to 1a) Tool Touch Off speed: I have the probe speed set to 10 & 5 (fast & slow, respectively) but it seems to default to 10 & 1, ignoring the numbers I...

Thanks Shawn, apparently I'm blind. Right where you said, and where I swear I've looked before.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
I can't find where that particular button is mapped in the .vcp file (it's not, in my file). Hell, I can't even find that .svg in my resource folder.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
So, in my adventures of customizing the VCP, I found this in the manual regarding the big reset button in the lower-left. It says you can customize the graphic, just not the size or location. My question is: where is the part of the .vcp file that maps the .svg file for the reset button? Doesn't see...

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
cool! thanks for posting. be sure to use a 1920x1080 resolution monitor for best results. Yes indeed. I think it looks a bit off because that was a screenshot from TeamViewer on my laptop. Looks better on the machine screen itself, although that 8" monitor is 1280 x 720 (same aspect ratio as 1...
