did that a few times, I think my backlash compensation is the issue.. just redid it , coming out .5mm too large on all 5 diameters. Ah, that means you havent got an offset correct somewhere, IE reset up the tool. correct.. I was doing a skin pass , then zeroing the tool. Then i realized , if i went...

anyway, the larger diameters are too big , the smaller too small , and the center 14 mm ring is dead nuts..Ive adjusted the settings 1000 times, any ideas.

heres what i used it works fine https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EWK93KQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 the only thing i had to do was swap the ground and the common for whatever reason.. You might not see that issue. fast delivery compared to the commonly used china encoder....

spindle encoder reads negative SOLVED

although i think the rpm is accurate ( 1900 rpm reading on a 2200 rpm lathe ) it displays a negative.. I know I read somewhere that this can be done in the wizard.. Also that the phase wires being reversed can solve it .. Whats really odd, in order to get a reading I had to swap the common and groun...

ITS ALIVE , logic on the drivers was set to 24v

the issue is , I have no motion .. neither axis moves , although both are getting current ( and holding ) .. I wasnt sure if I missed a step as far as communication between the controller and the drivers.
