Re: Chatter on the X axis

I’ll post my report file in just a bit today! I took apart the x axis and took a look at the pinion gear and it seems fine as does the track itself, the bad news is the eccentric “nut” or plate for lack of a better term isn’t holding the gear in the correct position. The threads are all stripped to ...

Re: Chatter on the X axis

I’ll take a look either tomorrow or Monday! I’ll google some of the bearings and see if I can find a set screw. If I remember correctly the pinion gear is plastic. Not sure if that changes anything or not. Also a quick question would it be possible/how easy/ even feasible to replace the rails with t...

Chatter on the X axis

First and foremost I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for all the help you’ve given me and everyone else on here! Second to set the stage I bought a very used 3rd hand Chinese 4x8 Cnc. Which after much help on here and specifically from Shawn who was a godsend it’s running pretty gosh dar...

Re: Which Schematic for DM860T

Anyone at all? I appear to have gotten there new "digital" version. Im sure its a lack of knowledge of what to read about/search for just a nudge in the right direction would really be appreciated. Is there a guide somewhere speaking to how to set the pulses/rev, and given my motors are 5a...

Which Schematic for DM860T

Im sure there is an easy answer but I just want to triple check which schematic I'm using for that driver? Doing some pre-wiring before it arrives. Thanks all!

Re: Wiring CW250 driver

The machine didn’t have an estop but came with one in the box of parts. I found the wiring for one though! Just looks like it hadnt been reinstalled yet? It does have breakers, here’s several more pics and probably more valuable to you than my ramblings lol. You might also notice I mounted the power...

Re: Wiring CW250 driver

Your comment about “if one part fails” is really true I’ve run into that in many other situations and it’s a very good call a little learning up front will save me headache down the road! No worries!

Re: Wiring CW250 driver

I’ll stop complicating everything and just order the drivers you suggested! I’ll figure the wiring out but you’re correct about things being all in one going wrong! Thank you so much for all of this. Also it seems as though they’ve wired large capacitors with the puls power supplies? Do I need to ke...

Re: Wiring CW250 driver

Again forgive my ignorance, I see I can use two of my puls cps20 power supplies in parallel, would that cover the needs of the all in one unit?

Re: Wiring CW250 driver

Thank you again for so much knowledge. I was about to purchase the driver you linked for me when I stumbled across this from the same company. https://www.automationtechnologiesinc.com/products-page/stepper-motor-drivers/mx4660 Seems like this makes wiring much more simple, given it already has a DB...
