Re: Confused with Huanyang GT series setup.

That was it! I followed the drawing above. I put a jumper wire from +24 to PW, and Com on the relays to COM on the VFD terminals. It now seems to work well.

Re: Confused with Huanyang GT series setup.

I think I've got it messed up with the +24V and Com terminals. From the manual: 24v missing.PNG It looks like the S1-S7 relays need +24V and Com Connections. I use the GND connection because it was next to the S1-S3 terminals. The Huanyang schematic from Centroid doesn't show any 24V connections. Du...

Re: Confused with Huanyang GT series setup.

I have wired up the VFD and followed Marty's notes on the GT model. It doesn't start the motor. I can hear the relays firing, the analog voltage seems right. I have the analog input on AI2. I tried setting jumper J16 in both position. The VFD shows the voltage when the Acorn spindle is active. I hav...

Re: How should I activate a brake on the Z axis and mist coolant air valve?

Hi Marty,
If I used 5V for VCC would I need a resistor? Would I then wire it to an input on the DB25 BOB? If yes, would it be the ALM- that connects to the DB25?

Thanks!

Re: How should I activate a brake on the Z axis and mist coolant air valve?

Thanks Marty! Would I wire the alarm output from each drive, in series to an input on the DB25 header? Would it be the + or - that goes to the header?

How should I activate a brake on the Z axis and mist coolant air valve?

Hello, I am using a Nema 42 stepper with 24V DC brake on my Z axis. My stepper drives are Leadshine AM882m drives. They have an alarm output for when the drive has a fault. I have a separate 24V power supply for the brake. My first thought is use one of the 8 relays to control the 110V power going i...

Re: Home switch, 5V Prox? and cable question

Thanks Mike. I'm going to look that up right now. Marty, it will be a little bit before I'm ready to test the home switches. I just got the Acorn control installed. My next step is to wire up the axis drives and get the motion squared away. After that, it's home switches, then VFD connections. So fa...

Re: Home switch, 5V Prox? and cable question

Hi Mike. I searched here and on YouTube for MechtechMike. I didn't see videos with blue prox sensors. Would you have a link?
Thanks,
Mike
