LOOKING for a CNC conversion for my PM-935 knee mill

I have a small program that does one op. The mill starts from home. Z moves down makes the cut and returns home. How do I change the stop and start positions to save time and movement.

I'm using ACORN_rev4 MULTIPLE KL-5080H HYBTID DRIVES. It shows Step 1,2,3 Direction 1,2,3, using H6 (DB25) and Enable 1,2,3 using H2 and H3.

In ALL the videos I have watched ALL the terminals are used are H2, H3, and use shielded wire. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

First conversion from sherline / Masso. finished first test made me happy. I watched every video I could and do not understand how the finished wired stepper could be only the distance away?? what good does the long cable do
