Re: Mapping alternative laser enable commands
That would be great if it does, I have not run across anything in the utilities wizard to activate changes to the gcode for lasers. Maybe someone knows where it might be if it has indeed been released.

Mapping alternative laser enable commands
Has anyone undertaken to map m3 m5 to do the function of m37 m38? I am presently running light burn to create my laser engraving designs and they support M3 GCode that Marlin uses. Light burns default is to use g0 g1 commands and informs me that g code laser engravers "know" to toggle off ...

inverting PWM output
I continue to battle with the PWM output not providing a signal for full power, I wondered today could inverting the PWM output (there is a setting for this but I could find no explanation on why I would or what the effect would be. I am assuming that this would control the % of time the output is a...

Re: Error PLC program checksum failed
Wow wished I had seen this before, I have been renaming the directory, reloading the program, and then resetting the program (at least this time I have recorded all of the settings in the wizard)

Re: What magic am I missing in using PWM for laser control?
Endurance 10W DPSSL, very similar to the one John Costello is running with Acorn, in fact I have verified all of my settings are in agreement with John's, he is running an Endurance 4W DPSSL.

What magic am I missing in using PWM for laser control?
PWM is setup on Pin 14 + Pin18 - on DB25 connector, I have disabled output 2 on H10, I have tested the output and get 4.9 volts with a command for S1000 when PWM is set to 0 to 1000. I thought that it was a problem with the laser, so I contacted the supplier and ran it as he suggested when I bi-pass...

Re: PWM output
Yes, that was why I had attempted it treating it like a motor that needs to come up to speed. Since then I have looked at possibly having M37 S11 (one more than my minimum power for output) followed by a G4 P20 (20 second delay for warmup) then on to movement as required. My trial runs showed a PWM ...

Re: PWM output
You are correct, once I moved laser enable to precede the S command I had 4.9 Volts on PWM.

Please help I seem to be getting no output out of PWM. I have PWM attached to pins 14 and 18 of the DB25 connector, using the wizard, PWM is setup as PWM enabled YES base frequency 750 Hz PWM S command range 0-1000 PWM minimum S to start laser 10 Inverse output no I have attached leads from pin 14+ ...

Re: Emergency stop release crash
Ok I have an old man sheepish look on my face. As I said I had cut the line for output 2 since pwm was hooked up to the db25 output. But I did not consult the wiring diagram before cutting the line in the ribbon cable. I cut the second wire (but the first is ground, the third wire is output 2 not th...
