Re: Dross not clearing.
I only have a 45Xp for now so I have to play a little. And learn what speed works best. Nice cuts. Im also noticing a beveld cut which Im pertty sure is the torch height setting. Guess thats the fun part getting everything dialed in for your machine. Especially if you built it and can only blame you...

Dross not clearing.
Hey guys its been awhile since I could play. Cut out a revolution 72 in 3/8 plate. Seem to have alot of dross remaining on the bottom of the plate. Hypertherm cut speed is 33 ipm and some areas were not cutting all the way through. So I backed it to 70% and I had clean cuts but dross is not clearing...

Re: plasma collision error
Ok I have hopefully an easy question. Can I ues another stepper drive along with my G540? I want to run my Y axis on 80v and a stepperonline drive like I use to. The G540 would hopefully be able to run X and Z axis's. I have a speed issue that I cant overcome with 48v Im currently running through he...

Re: plasma collision error
Thanks so much for all your help. I never got this much support from the mach forum. I'm going to add some photos of the y axis. Also hoping to use this set up to improve the gantry and y axis. Was originally going for a dual usage router/plasma but not any more I really want to lighten everything up.

Screen is set as high as it goes. I will try to up my speed tonight.
Not really looking to cut that thin but will see how fast it will run.
Does anyone have a recommendation for the best gauge to use for wall art?
