Re: homing when work-pieces exceed the size of the worktable
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I though of that, however when the table is left of the middle home location, the machine should move to the right and vice versa, when the table is right of the machine the machine should move to the left to find the home position. Also, the point of hitting the home ...

homing when work-pieces exceed the size of the worktable
Hi, we are converting a fully encapsulated CNC machine whereby the work-pieces often exceed the size of the worktable. Thereby homing with the work-piece attached to the table becomes a problem because the work-piece hits the housing before the end-stop is triggered. Can you advise on how to deal wi...

9070 spindel chiller fault
Hello, we are installing a new machine and are setting up the spindle. The spindle runs as expected, but after some time (less than 1 minute) we get "9070 SPINDLE CHILLER FAULT", triggering the E-stop. There is no chiller installed, no temperature sensor feedback to the Centroid. The spind...

ARC in Intercon gives an error
Hello, We are trying to mill an outside circle with the ARC module in Intercon. In the ARC we choose CP & A. We start with a straight G0 movement outside the workpiece and connect the ARC to the G0. After posting we keep getting stuck in module N0001 on lines 13 (M41) and 15 (M40). As far as I u...

FYI Drive and motor is Indramat: KDW1-1-100-300-W1-220-MAINSPINDLE-DRIVE spindle orientation see section 3.6 page 50 e.g. https://www.rgbautomatyka.pl/de/p/file/4f740027b7f9aec9fa52bf0c30b16fae/KDW1.1-100-300-W1-220-MAINSPINDLE-DRIVE-INDRAMAT-MANUAL.pdf or https://www.scribd.com/document/520397203/K...

Re: unexpected fault after repeted boring
Hi, Problem solved thanks to your hints! I am PS :D Explanation: Since the machine uses inverted logic for positioning, I previously inverted OrientRequest_O in the PLC. That makes it less readable. So I created OrientRequest_O_INV for OUT17 and used OrientRequest_O as intended. I increased 10 times...

unexpected fault after repeted boring <resolved>
Hi, We created a simple operation using the Intercon for boring out 4 cylinders using a single point bore, see attached file. This works fine for the first cylinder meaning executing the M19 spindle orient command before retracting and lifting the tool. But after the second the second bore, the spin...

Re: CNC12-D Mill v4.18 to v5.4
The issue we have is with the wired mpg. I have set the machine real slow and also set acceleration low for XYZ movements to keep tolerances small. The speed is limited to the maximum allowed speed while milling for all movements. The problem is that some operators turn so fast on the Z axis dial of...

CNC12-D Mill v4.18 to v5.4
Hi,
we have a working machine with centroid OAK running CNC12-D Mill v4.18 but some details need to be sorted which I believe are solved in v5.
In particular regarding the MPG
Can we upgrade to v5 and what needs to be done to the PLC?

push button switch mounted on the head, compensating drive offset error
The spindle is controlled by Centroid using analog out -10V to +10V Feedback is provided by the position encoder fed back to the Centroid controller (ENC6). M19 sets the position in a fixed position as needed for a tool change from the carousel. There is a push button switch mounted on the head that...
