Re: Pneumatic solenoid for pneumatic chuck
Hi Tom if this is a Leader pneumatic chuck for your Mirac, I recently asked on the Denford site whether an illustrated parts guide exists for the Mirac, as it does for most of Denford's other machines, but, unfortunately, the answer seems to be no. However, I did find a parts document for the Cyclon...

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring
Marty You can thank my son for the tidy write-up. Yes the turret is running and operational, we just haven't finalised whether to take the clamp switch as an input into the Acorn or use it via a relay to halt the turret reverse command. Currently the turret reverse is simply based on time via the AT...

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring
Tom, Marty
see below for the tool post truth table and connection diagram. Any standard diode ie 1N4001 is fine.

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring
Tom the board in your link is used to route a single common pin to one of 16 inputs (or outputs) depending on the address given by the 4-bit BCD pattern. This is not what you want. You need a 16 input to 4-bit BCD encoder and there are chips available to do this or others have hacked a rotary 16 inp...

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring
Tom
you will still need the diode board to create the BCD inputs if you want to use Centroid's turret macro, unless you are planning to modify it. Plus you would be giving up 4 inputs needlessly.

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring
Just to chime back in. The diode board on the Mirac transforms the 8 rotary switch outputs into 4-bit BCD grey code. The arrangement of the diodes to produce the BCD output is shown in the linked document below and is easily implemented in stripboard or similar. http://www.loreme.fr/fichtech/MDL107%...

Hi Marty
sure, will update on progress soon. Hoping to get things sorted over the Christmas break and will report on what works then

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring
Hi Tom
I sent you a PM on this. Your turret is a Denford DM-08 rather than a Baruffaldi and should be manageable within the current ATC/turret wizard. I am currently sorting a Mirac PC with the same turret.
