RC-Lights wrote: Sat May 04, 2024 10:45 am Hi Uwe, thanks for the hint with the XML, i will have a Look.

How can i run the Finish Pass a second time? Paste and copy?
jep in NP++, but should go also with copy and insert in Intercon {never tried it)

Simply because I am often faster with plain g-code.

Re: best Threading strategy

If you want to add more threads, edit treadsdb.xml

Some the threads in there are from me ;)

You can run the profile finish pass a second time after threading.

Re: Tool Change Macro Help

.... I love Centroid Acorn, im more then pleased. But being a DIY'er im always thinking of ways to optimize. Would be great if they offered professional support for things like this , huge benefit to customers who sometimes need a little hand holding at times. I already know they are customer focus...

Re: CNC lathe Dealing with long chips

Hi Uwe, thanks for the hint. Right now i am testen Parameters for All Materials and i found out, that with f0,3 i can Break the Chips also in titanium. Michael Jep faster cutting is in most cases better. Made a video to compare pecking with fast cutting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4ABvL8iEzQ ...

Down in the rabbit hole again messing with settings..... :D The new Util button on the VCP is nice, but I changed it so that the StressTest is located in the cncm/system folder, because /ncfiles is for me a working folder with only the currently used files. So if a stupid user like me wipes the /ncf...

tblough wrote: Sat May 04, 2024 6:37 am There's probably no need to run 100 lines of parameter checking code at every tool change. Normally, once you have your tool setter and probe set up, you never change that again.

Re: Pro vs Ultimate, MPG questions...

Yes the only difference. Sender is the same, receiver is not, and from my experience they work much better than the cheap stuff on Linux or Mach. My POV is they make money with selling things, but we as customers on the other side are pleased with free updates in short time and have not to go on wit...

Re: CNC lathe Dealing with long chips

jep 7075 is easy to cut, but if it is possible from spindle speed, I use 200m/min or faster. No problem to write a chip breaking function with parameters for roughing, but for finish cut it looks better in one go with one long swarf. The trick here ist to make it flow away from the part so it will n...
