Re: Commanded Speeds Vs Actual Spindle Speed
Yes P06_42 is the offset you can use it also to make sure M3/4 will result in same rpm, or misuse for finetuning low rpm in one direction ... P06-41 is filtering fluctuation from the +10V signal In rigid tapping Z is tied to the encoder input from the spindle, not to the commanded spindle speed, so ...

You are sure that you have a JAND driver, not a JASD ?

Re: Commanded Speeds Vs Actual Spindle Speed
Hi Richard, The fast fix is do not care about it, since it has no significant influence on the parts you are milling. ;) With M3 S0 is the spindle not turning? If yes run AF_oF1 on the servo driver. You also could play with P06-41 P06-42 I also have not the full rpm range spot on with Acorn, same Se...

Re: CNC12 and RS-485...
AFAIK, the spindle on/off is currently controlled by a relay in the SB control box. It looks like the docs show rotation direction is controlled with relays...which is sub-optimal. I will absolutely investigate with those two M codes and report back. Thanks for that. Unfortunately, it may be a coup...

Re: Rough Motion on Circular Toolpaths
If the motor is only vibrating at very low speed, gearing would avoid this low speed on the motor, so it will run smooth while cutting with the same feedrate it is now vibrating.Salted_Pork wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 1:50 pm
Would gearing the motors to spin faster be a good solution?
Cheers,

It works with threading also

Re: Acorn single axis
Even single axis Acorn is full CNC. If the axis is konfigured ok, you can set Z 0 for the lowest point and use MDI with G1 Z0.5 F200 to drive exactly 0.5 above the lowest point. Since Acorn is with one encoder port ist is possible to connect a scale. I am only not sure if ultimate is required for cl...
