Yep wired wrong.
Output that did not work was wired to ground. Scope showed good signals on other outputs. ???
Can't wait to see how it works.
The machine seems to like it.

The wiring is not wrong. The battery is connected to pin 2 and 0v and common and pin 9 and vcc and +. Pin 1 is nc. Encoder works when not connected to machine.

What is the next step to resolve this problem?
