Welding went quite well. I snuck up on the fit between the shoulder on the shaft and bore in the plate. They stayed true. I was surprised how well the welding went. Turned down the weld with the Pacemaker.

Re: Digitize to milling with Rhino and fusion
I have a middle range 3d scanner, Shining 3D Freescan Combo. I use QuickSurface to create parametric geometry from the scans. QuickSurface can work with point clouds from what I understand. I export a mesh from Shining 3D's software and use QuickSurface to model. It works well. Not cheap though. One ...

Re: Shop Sabre SideKick 8 w/Drill Unit & Scribe

Shop Sabre SideKick 8 w/Drill Unit & Scribe
I've bought a Shop Sabre SideKick 8 new two years ago.

It came with the WinCNC control. I've not been happy with the control since the first time I powered it up. In all fairness, Shop Sabre's customer service and support are truly top notch. My converting to Centroid Acorn CNC ...

Re: We are working on Adding Rapid Override controls to the VCP
Know this will be a very cool feature. Can you sell it in kit form so we can mount the knobs in a monitor enclosure?
that's the plan.

Re: Can someone give me a hand with Intercon Lathe Chamfers?
Surely I’m not the only person running into all this tribal knowledge costing them a lot of time and frustration. While I appreciate the conversation, the profile screen leaves me lost in how to accomplish a chamfer. There’s a lot being assumed and not being enumerated in the documentation. Is there ...

Re: Can someone give me a hand with Intercon Lathe Chamfers?
I appreciate the response. The lack of documentation for intercon limits its usability for those of us that haven’t used it for years on end. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve spent tens of hours trying to reverse engineer how it works. I’ll see if I can get it solved with paid support, or I’ll ...
