Re: Issues with Torch Calibration

Remove the "TorchTipTouchOff" from TX terminal (T in) input9 and directly connect it to Acorn input, right ?? Do not connect the Tin wire to the Acorn input. Tin, Torch touch cannot be used without the THC boards. You will have to use a touch off device. The 3 sensor round mount should wor...

Re: Issues with Torch Calibration

Pins 12 & 14 on the hypertherm being dry contacts, I'm assuming it'll send an on/off signal?? listed as Red Black wires am I looking for a 0v and 5v or something?? Which output wire would go to IN2 of TX? Follow S15195. The Everlast ARC OK signal works and is connected the same way as the hyper...

Re: Flickering screen

Durring a Torch touch off the Z touch off macro operates much like a homing move and the Z limit is ignored. There is a new touch off macro available that I can post tomorrow that will take into account the Z software Limit. The voltage target and feedrate walking is quite odd. What kind of USB dev...

Re: Issues with Torch Calibration

Joey I don't see an ARC-OK connection on the PowerMax schematics. I used S15153 and S15136 to connect the torch holder and Hypertherm.. didn't see and ARC OK Am I missing something ?? The TX board Reading max Voltage is showing the Last voltage reading and is a sign of damage by voltage greater tha...

Re: Torchmate accumove 2 conversion

What I should of said was this is un tested. The Primweld Divided voltage lines have different properties and do not work the same as the Hypertherm. PIN 6 on the Hypertherm is the positive of the divided voltage and has continuity with the material clamp. Primweld does not The Tin wire on the torch...

Re: THC Data

There is no information on what is being sent from the RX board to the acorn thru the encoder port.

I'm not sure what the Encoder port on the Acorn communicates with.

Re: Torchmate accumove 2 conversion

I'm not sure if proximity and mechanical switches can be run in series together. I don't think it will hurt anything to try.

The Torch touch will not work with the Primweld as the GND pin on the TX board will not have continuity to the ground clamp.

A separate Ohmic device will need to be used.

Re: Issues with Torch Calibration

So Guys here's the situation at the moment, besides the owner being really p***ed off .. Can anyone tell me by looking at the latest report and/or the THC bench-test result if TX board is gone ? If not, why the 10v result? If yes, can I run the plasma with the Hypertherm 125 without the THC TX boar...

Re: Issues with Torch Calibration

You can also look at the live plot.

Live plot is located in Setup-Config-PID-PID Config

With the hypertherm powered off.
And the divided voltage lines connected.
You should not see any voltage in the live plot.

Or very little. Less than 20 counts anyways.

Re: Issues with Torch Calibration

I would disconnect the divided voltage wires from the hypertherm going to the TX. Then rerun the THC bench test. Make sure hypertherm is off when running the THC bench test. If the hypertherm is powered on during the bench test. The test will cause the hypertherm to fire the torch. We just want to m...
