Here is an updated Post for scribe with Sheetcam. Plate marker will now use M39 for scribe on and M40 for scribe off.

Have you done a fresh install? I would just copy the current cncm direction and then reinstall. Do not Restore a report from the current build. Use CTRL P in the Wizard to make a PDF screen capture of your current Wizard settings for future reference. Hopefully Something odd just happened with that ...

I agree with Shawn. It is probably is related to the Ethernet cord and or interference. Create a Fresh report in the Utility menu and attach it in a post. Make sure the report is turned into a ZIP file. We can better see errors from the report.
