Re: CL42T Driver not working for Z Axis
The THC can function at any Feed rate really. I've seen Z Max rate of 50ipm and the THC was able to Maintain the Correct cut height just fine. 200 IPM max rate will be just fine for Typical flat sheet plasma cutting. 200IPM for a homing feed rate seems awful quick. How are your Switches setup? Hopef...

Re: Do I need an Ohmic sensor if I use the torch breakaway and float switch?
The Ohmic sensor is not needed as long as you have another Touch off Device. So the Float switch will work for your Touch off Cycle. I'm not sure how the Ohmic (Torch Touch) will work with the adapted torch. I would Run the torch touch through one of the 8 relay outputs. If you decide to try the Ohm...

Re: Dual head machine.
Yes that is possible. There is currently a plasma / router swap option in the installer for easy switching between versions.

Can you please share any pictures of the cabinet and PC?
It maybe worth pulling the PC and Acorn and setting up the PC bench test to rule out the Cabinet as the cause for the COM errors.

Re: Debug Dump
Debug dump is usually the result of a job interruption or if the Float switch or Breakaway is tripped unexpectantly. The Debug Dump will create a Plot file stored in the cncm folder. The Plot will should the THC and Motion information leading up to the Debug dump. This is to help determine what the ...

Re: Z axis/ THC movements
Turning the THC Max Velocity to something like 1-15ipm should smooth out the z reaction.

Jeremy
The Drive Power supply wired through the E-stop contactor is good.
As far as Hitting E-stop there may be a loss of position, and it is recommended to Re-Home the machine to ensure Everything is lined up.

Re: Closed loop Stepper question
Great! These stepper drives call that an "Enable" signal but it is more like a "Disable" Signal. If nothing is hooked up to the Enable signal the Drive will run since it is enabled by default. Drive Fault is due to the Alarm input Triggering. Always worth a shot to Invert that in...
