Sounds like the THC is on and lowering the torch during the cut. Is the THC on for this job? Does this happen during a straight line cut with THC on? Has this material , profile and it's target voltage setting worked on other previous cuts and jobs?
Please post a fresh report.

Re: Dry Run OK but When Torch Fires no Movement
Hello. Can you create a fresh report and post it? I'm thinking The TX is not ready voltage and giving the Arc OK to move.

Re: Acorn CNC Plasma/Everlast82i
BMF has a thread where he was trying tlan Everlast with the THC. The THC plots didn't look too bad just that I'm not sure if the calibration was able to use the voltage. Looked like THC did react to the spike at the end of the cut. Not sure if his target voltage was just not set right. He was going ...

Hi Shawn. What Size clear paths are you running? Are you satisfied or would you have gone any bigger? Looking to assemble a table that looks pretty similar to yours.

Re: Float switch off set
Was the cut icrossing the lead in? The 7 percent hysteresis number in the THC config menu. Enacts anti dive when there a spike in voltage. Crossing the lead in will spike the voltage. Some users insert THC off codes with their post-processor in corners and endpoints to prevent diving. But usually th...

Re: Float switch off set
At which point this the torch dive? You may need to increase your THC delay if the torch was to low at the beginning of the cut. A common one is the THC to react during a tight circle. If that's the case. Tune your THC by adjusting your. THC Config settings. To start adjust the Velocity anti dive? &...

Re: Float switch off set
That was your issue. The fine cut consumables have a much different voltage when running compared to regular consumables. Using a regular consumable with a fine cut profile without adjusting the target voltage is going to result is the torch running into the material right after the pierce

Re: Float switch off set
At 20 gauge I'd take the amperage down as low as possible. Make a custom profile at 30amps. I think hypertherms regular consumable cut chart doesn't go that thin. Only the fine cut consumables do. With some adjustments to your profile you can get dialed in. I would go to 30 amps because regular cons...
