Initial THC Install with Ohmic/Torch

Hello All I created a Short video of Why the Profile Manager THC config setting's needs the THC set to installed. Be sure to set the THC config menu to THC Installed-Yes When using the THC's torch touch with the THC set to Not installed the Touch off cycle will fail to react to the THC's Tin input w...

Re: Torch Calibration

Yessir float switch or ohmic offset is what affects the z position after a touch off.

Ohmic offset is usually spot on at 0 unless the touch off speed is increased causing the z to over travel more after contact.

Re: PLASMA CUTTING - EXPANDED GRATING

What are you using for a Touch off? I'm thinking you may need to make a "Foot" That attaches to the torch to give the torch a wider surface area to touch off with. The Torch is staying ON With Expanded metal mode correct? If not I suggest hooking up the ARC OK signal from the Hypertherm so...

Re: Moving Pierce Travel

Hello Adam This is on the future feature list for the Plasma software. This can be achieved thru the G-code. The Cam will need to insert some commands in the G-code to achieve the desired moving pierce. Instead of using the M61 macro which is a pre-determined touch off cycle based on the Profile set...

Re: Question on e-stop wiring

Is there a schematic for a plasma setup? I don’t have a VFD in my system. On my other table the e-stop switch only shut off the control board not any motors directly. The table would stop moving and shut off the torch. Is there a configuration in Acorn for dealing with the signal on the input for t...

Re: Question on e-stop wiring

Usually the No fault out runs to the E stop or contactor that cuts power to other supply's in the cabinet

Here's an e-stop contactor schematic example

Re: THC

The Acorn Control is not setup to take up/down movement commands via the I/o input. I have seen Proma THC's working with centroid controls before. From what I saw they were kind of stand a lone and heavily modified with custom PlC's and macros. From what it looked like the Z axis and Proma was a sep...

Re: M64 Marking Macro <non hyperthem build>

Hmmm.... Not sure what happened to my video. I'll look into that

Yes the M64 turns on the Torch for a very very brief moment.

M64 does not use any information from the profile and only gets its delay from the marking timer.

The m64 marking timer is in the profile managers THC config menu.

Re: Voltage divider/ cable ?

The Centroid Cable should not be used with the proma divider.

The Cnc port connector August referenced are pretty cheap.

The Proma 0-10 signal output can be connected straight to the TX board as Jeff Colden demonstrated.
