Re: idling too high..
Alright guys, thanks. All sound like great things to check into. It is an older machine..1989, so I'm sure she's looser in the middle. I'll definitely move the limit switches in on the Y a bit since I never come close to using all the travel. She ran good today, I sure am liking the Centroid better ...

Re: idling too high..
I did the drag test on both the X and the Y. Both said, Excessive axis drag. I can tell by the load meters now, that the Y is moving a bit harder than the X. Especially out towards the limit switches the meter is about half way across. More so in the Y+. On a side note, with my old Dynapath controll...

idling too high..
Hello, I'm getting Y idling too high: Releasing power, now and then. Mainly on the y sometimes on the X. I ran my first program today after retrofitting my Republic Lagun 310 three axis mill to allin1dc. Everything went great but when it was sitting while not running the program it would come up wit...

Re: 410 axis position error on first jog attemp
Hot diggity, that worked! I read about that but I figured I knew I had the positive hooked to the red wire on my motors and the negative to the black but I guess that wasn't right... thank you for the response! My z motor makes a bit of a hum noise at stand still. Doesn't move but just makes noise, ...

410 axis position error on first jog attemp
hi guys, slowly getting my allin1dc mill retrofit going. I have my motors on the machine unbelted. Its a Republic lagun 310 3 axis mill with baldor servos with the Centroid encoders installed. When I first attempted to jog, I had the "stall detection disabled". The motors ran away and I ha...

Re: DC volts into allin1dc
Ok thank you. For some reason I thought I had 80vdc down to my old servo dynamics drive but I just checked it and it is 80vac. So if I run that 80vac to the capacitor and bridge combo, I will end up with 113.2vdc out, correct. My z motor is rated at 120 max and the x and y are 150 max. Do I not worr...

Re: DC volts into allin1dc
Transformers only work with AC. You'll need to change your incoming power to 150/1.414 = 106 VAC. You'll need to search for a step down transformer with a secondary around 100V and capable of handling the current you need for your drives. So step down the ac and use the capacitor and bridge combo s...
