Re: New Rebuild on Sherline Chucker Lathe & New build on 5400 mill
Back up one step further. Disconnect the KBSI-240D from the Acorn analog output, and connect your voltmeter to the Acorn analog output terminals. Be sure it is set to read DC voltage, not AC. Go into the Wizard, set the max spindle RPM to 10,000 (every 1,000rpm will equal about 1VDC) Reset CNC12 to...

Re: New Rebuild on Sherline Chucker Lathe & New build on 5400 mill
Hey All, Trying to get my Sherline mill finished but am still plagued with the spindle problem. Will not spin up. It was working at one point but then seemed like the KBIC-240D went bad so I just installed a brand new one. Maybe that was not the issue. ? Ive confirmed the motor is fine by hooking up...

Re: Grove and cut off tool question
I know on my lathe which is a 11x26 it doesn't even have any gibs on the Z axis. You can lift the whole carriage up if you are strong enough. Kind of crazy. I do know that tool is the most usefull tool I own. The clamp down one can be used for grooving, turning, profiling pretty much anything in al...

Re: Threading database
You must use the lathe lib for the lathe. Renamen cnct and make a fresh install to get the lib, then copy it to the renamend cnct. Delete cnct and rename the old one to cnct again. This way you loose nothing, but have a new thread lib. Uwe Do I need to reconfigure all my settings in wizard with thi...

Re: Grove and cut off tool question
Does the back of the carriage have a way to stop it from lifting off the ways? I know on my lathe you can only load the tool pushing it down onto the way. If you load it the other way the whole carriage tries to lift off the ways and makes chatter. Keep in mind the carriage doesn't weigh that much ...

Re: Tool Library and Fusion 36
They are independent so you need to define all your tools in CNC12 and Fusion separately. There may be an import option but I have not got that far yet in my learning but it’s on my mind to look into that.

Re: Threading database
Your thread database you posted in the first post only contains a single custom external 1/4-20 thread. My guess is the file was wiped out trying to open it with Excel. Yould should ne able to extract that file from a report and copy it over the corrupted one. If that fails, reinstalling CNC12 well...
