Re: Cutter Comp Tutrial question - Typo?
Thanks for the help, I didn't mean to create work for you. I don't really have an icn file yet. I'm just now getting my shop made cnc mill running and was preparing to make my first part, which is a part for a power draw bar I'm adding. As I was programming it in Intercon, I was struggling with the ...

Cutter Comp Tutrial question - Typo?
Hello, I was reading thru Tutorial #2 in the Mill Operators Manual (Draft July 27, 2023) and have a question about using Depth Repeat with Cutter Comp. I think there may be some typo's. At the bottom of page 192 it says "The outer contour begins with the Plunge operation in N0011 and ends with ...

Re: Any success with CNC4PC C89 ?
Well its been over a week since I’ve heard from CNC4PC. They have not returned phone calls or emails, what a shame. I don’t typically do reviews on companies but I would not recommend them to anyone based on my experience. I got tired of wating so I developed my own interface using an ESP32 micro co...

Re: Any success with CNC4PC C89 ?
Thanks, I'm familiar with both documents suntravel posted above. I wanted to use the PWM for better resolution and reduce the chance of electrical noise on the analog signal. And yes I did isolate output 2 on the relay board. I'm a retired EE with many years of experience working on commercial CNC's...

Re: Any success with CNC4PC C89 ?
Thanks. I’ve tried working with CNC4pc for almost 3 weeks now but they’ve been unable to provide a solution. I’ve sent them detailed information about the wiring, jumpers and screen shots of the scope. I really don’t know if I simply have a bad board or is it a bad design. When I asked for a refund ...

Any success with CNC4PC C89 ?
I purchased a CNC4PC C89 board to interface the Acorn to a Spindle Drive that requires a +/- 10 volt analog signal. The C89 is supposed to accept the spindle PWM signal from Acorn and convert it to a 0 to 10 volt analog voltage and change polarity by providing it with the VFD Direction signal. But i...

Re: PWM Duty Cycle
Thanks, that is what I was expecting but I could only get 50% (as measured by an oscilloscope). However, I had the spindle analog out set to 0-5v which apparently was clamping the PWM at 50%. After changing the analog to 0 to 10v I'm getting the 100% duty cycle. All is good now.

PWM Duty Cycle
Hello,
I want to use the PWM output as speed reference to a spindle drive on a mill. Does anyone know what the what the duty cycle is at max speed?
Thanks
Jim

Thanks, guess I should have looked at the relays first.

120vac Estop Circuit ok?
I'm designing the electrical system for a shop made CNC mill. I have a contactor with a 120vac coil I'd like to use for the Estop circuit. I'll be using an estop pushbutton with two NC contacts, one will go to input 8 and ground. I'd like to use the other contact to go thru output 1 on the relay car...
