Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Hi, I will try to take a photo of the mechanism but I think it will not be appreciated much as it is very hidden, I will see if I can climb on top of the machine and I can see from there, on page (b4) of this manual(https://es.calameo.com/books/003178067af7a4722d6c5) explains how the tool changer wo...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Hello again, this weekend I have been able to dedicate a couple of hours to this project, I have managed to position the tool using the encoder of the spindle shaft and it seems to be going well, although the drive manual does not recommend this configuration for not driving very Well the motors, th...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Hello again, thanks for the help in these doubts that are coming up, I will study the 380v three-phase units as you say, although I did not want to spend so much money on a machine that will work very little, if one day it were to work at least 50 % would be enough, to do some mechanical work on a s...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
You need a braking resistor or dc bus stabilizer to achieve high speed deceleration. I run 300ms to 6000 rpm and the same to stop but that's with a small motor. Even a few seconds might be a big ask without a resistor. Maybe there is one on the old drive you could use. Bit it will meed to be the ri...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Well let's start, this weekend I have done some tests, I have configured the inverter to try to make quick stops and I have not managed to make them very fast, the dc bus voltage I have set to the maximum 900V, braking at 100% and braking time 1 second, with the engine at 6000 rpm braking from the ...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Good, in the diagrams you can see that there are two encoders, one for the motor and one for the spindle axis, the one I am using now is the motor one. This weekend I will try to locate the second encoder and gears to make the correct configuration. Thanks

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Ok, what I'll do first is try to tune the engine. I do not know what acceleration time and braking time I have to achieve, I do not know if the variator will be able to brake very fast or I will have to put a brake resistor. Let's see what you can advise me. Another thing, I have been confused with ...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
Hi, at the end this weekend I have only been able to dedicate 2 hours to this project, I have managed to make the motor rotate in induction mode and with encoder, and the truth is that it seems that now if it sounds very fine, install the ecm-pg01l card which is the encoder and connect the cables, t...

Re: Actualizacion EMCO VCM 300
If page 61 is the correct one for your encoder then U0 is Z, U1 is A and U2 is B. Connect 5V and Ground and the six encoder wires. If your direction of rotation you measure is wrong then swap the A wires. Although most drives have a function to swap direction of the encoder RPM. Get it working in o...
