Here is a live edge sign I made no 3D carving but the torched finished ,I think came out pretty good.

So I have a little progress to report, with the help from Sword with the smoothing settings and some more time on the machine I gave it another go. Its 17X24 roughly, 2 in thick pine . Machine time was about 14 hrs at 120 ipm with a 1mm tapered 2 flute ball nose EM 10% step over and 60 deg bit for t...

Hey Scott Thanks for the PP file. I finally had time to try it out. I just used your file as is except for the dust collector I had to change the M7 to M8 and uncomment it. Oh ya one other thing I had to change was the naming of the smoothing profiles to match. Worked perfect just like you said , ca...

Hey Scott Well I thew caution to the wind and plugged in your V-carve smoothing profile and went for it. :D And I must say my machine was a lot less jerky at the corners and the Z was more fluid doing the lettering. Bonus... didn't seem to add any more time to the jobs, all right around 2hrs 9 min. ...
