i have tried my original centroid acorn post processor with feed it allows simply make sheet cam layer add feed rate to whatever you put in .
so say your main tool is set to 100 ipm then your layer selection for a hole you put in 30 ipm
then do another layer for a line cut you put in say 50 ipm ...

Re: post processor
this is not the way feed rates get applied to the code . you made the post to reduce feed rate using path rules
normally you select your tool say that tool is set 100 ipm . then you set a layer for that tool your feed rate is set in the layer
each layer allows separate feed rate settings right on ...

i downloaded centroid plasma post. can't seem to get it to post feed rates for different layer cuts like holes
when i post the file just shows feed rate no speed. did something change or is there some special tool setting needed in sheet cam

i watched few videos you posted your cutting in wrong direction in sheet cam check the box reverse box inside holes ccw some your pierce delays seam fast
what i cant tell is there motor reduction on Y axis
what size motor your running .
i Gona guess they 600 oz 34 4 wire motors they going to ...

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
i just read this whole post first thing i see were the power supply for 34 steppers
if it the blue one in middle that not going to work 4 34 steppers you Gona need 20 amp supply .
you can use switcher or Troidl from automation technology website you need at least 48 volt steppers do not need ...

How VFD wires up
I'm going to start new VFD question
this seams a centroid gray area of information
using vfd with a spindle motor not a servo motor .
i understand the VFD required needs to have an encoder input .
then if i need spindle orientation . how exactly does that work ?
it my understanding the hickory ...

Re: VFD drive spec
the haas needs spindle orientation
Marty tells me the drive needs to have encoder input card. then the encoder card output goes to the centroid hickory And the drives needs to have spindle ordination . output
Theis seams backwards why does the hickory not have software to orient the spindle using ...
