Re: Bridgeport Boss Second Z Axis?

Keith, I can see a switch or prefer a multipole relay under control of program. Suntravel, Please expand on G54 G55. Can this pick what output goes active based on G Code? If true it could likely activate a relay. This is very interesting if not above my pay grade. If by adding G55 to code to select...

Re: Bridgeport Boss Second Z Axis?

Keith, Thanks for the quick reply. I want to keep the original head for bigger jobs that can live at 4000 RPM range. This would be a second motor and second Z axis. Just struggle with how Acorn would know what head is active. Original head and motor standard setup, Hi speed head 4th axis as Z and di...

Bridgeport Boss Second Z Axis?

Hello all, I did try to search to see if this has been covered but did not find a hit. I did a retrofit on a Bridgeport Boss and am very happy with the results. I do however work in Aluminum or plastics. That said some additional RPM could be a big benefit on some projects. I am thinking to retrofit...

Bridgeport Boss Success

Success! So it has taken a while... 2.5 years to write this story as I needed to make this a real success story. So I retired from my JOB and started phase 2 of my life. Part of that was my desire to have a real CNC Mill. I found one local to me on Ebay a Bridgeport Boss, still no idea how old this ...

Re: Acorn Mill, Lathe, Router, Plasma CNC12 v4.82 has been released.

Keith,
Are there any special instructions to install the latest update? Or always safe to make a full folder copy?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Lost PWM Output to VFD Paramaters Gone in Wizard

Keith, Thanks for the reply. So.... I restored the 4.8 version still no 0 to 10 Volt output. Took screen captures of all the Wizard settings. Installed 4.12 lost EVERYTHING again. Did all the data entry in the Wizard still no 0 to 10 volt output so no spindle motor. Did the spindle bench test as you...

Re: Lost PWM Output to VFD Paramaters Gone in Wizard

I am confused too.
Connector H8 Analog Out 0 to 10 VDC.

So the direction relay activates when I manually command the spindle to run but the H8 output is zero VDC. No error code is present on the VFD

Sorry if I was confused too.

Re: Lost PWM Output to VFD Paramaters Gone in Wizard

Keith, Thanks for looking and all the others as well. Yes using the PWM output to control spindle speed via the VFD. All was working until this last few days trying to get the touch probe and tool setter up and running. So in the Wizard I look in Spindle/PWM Setup and question 1 is PWM Enabled No in...
