Reversing Spindle for individual grooving operation
On CNC 12 Lathe is there a way to reverse the spindle for a single grooving operation? I want the spindle to spin normally for all the operations apart from one where I need it to spin in the opposite direction. Any help would be appreciated.

Set Acorn to not ask me to switch tool. Chucker mode.
I'm using my lathe in chucker mode so how do I set acorn to not ask me to change tool but to just go from toll 1 to tool 2 to tool 3 automatically?

Re: Lathe in chucker mode. How to stop Acorn slamming tools into part?
Sorry for asking but how do I move it to a safe "x" position before it moves as there is no y position in line with the spindle I can move it to that wont result in a collision.

Lathe in chucker mode. How to stop Acorn slamming tools into part?
I've got a Sherline chucker lathe that I'm running on Acorn. I've been cutting the part with one tool then going to drill it. However on the transfer between tools despite knowing where the part is and where the drill in Acorn keeps trying to slam the drill into the part (along the x axis). How do I...

Re: Are there any good guides on cutting tappers with Acorn?
I assume you are using the Turning cycle (F7). You need to specify the ending X and Z. The software applies the taper working back from the end point, to adjust your start point. Z is moving 0.5 inches, at a 20-degree angle. 0.5 * tan(20) = 0.182. X needs to move out (+) 0.182 per side, so 0.364&qu...

Are there any good guides on cutting tappers with Acorn?
I'm finding programming tappers very confusing as every time I entre a new number into the CAD it greatly alters the shape of the tapper. Basically I want to cut a taper that at z -0.5 the diameter is 1 inch then I want the tool to cut a 20 degree taped until z-1.5. How do I do this? Thanks.
