Re: Loosing Ethernet connection and it wipes my settings.

I ran a copper 18 awg wire through the hose, and grounded it to the DC earlier today. I removed the ethernet fitting and the 3' leader cable in the case and plugged directly into the ACORN from the computer, and I haven't had an issue. If I don't have issues, I may try putting the fitting back in, a...

Loosing Ethernet connection and it wipes my settings.

I have been using my machine for a few weeks shaking it out and the connection has been rock solid, but starting 2 days ago (after installing a dust collector), I have lost ethernet connection twice and each time it does it, it resets all my soft limits in the configuration, and this last time, unpa...

Re: 0-10v stuck at 10.6V

Disregard. I had the wire hooked to the 10v source on the VFD so that you can run a manual pot switch to control the speed. I hooked it up to the proper wire, and the VFD is displaying the corresponding frequency to what I set on ACORN. I am glad I didn't burn up the 0-10v input...that would have be...

0-10v stuck at 10.6V <user resolved>

I have one of the Automation Direct GS20 VFDs that is hooked up to a 2.2kw 24000 RPM 400 HZ spindle. I programmed all the drive parameters and got it spinning off the keypad on the VFD. So I hooked up the FWD, REV and Reset on relays 4, 5 and 6 and they are closing the circuits properly on the VFD (...

Default Spindle Speed for Voltage Test

I didn't see that I needed to check the 0-10v when bench testing. Anyways, I have my setup mostly complete and am about to connect the spindle so thought it would be a good time! I went to do it and it errored out. So I went to check the max rpm in the wizard and it is set to 18000. I think it shoul...

Re: Acorn Power Supply Question

Ok, thanks. If need be, I will get another small one to power the acorn.

Acorn Power Supply Question

I am reading through the newly released manual and I noticed on page 33 it says not to use the same 24v power supply to power both the Acorn and the estop contactor. I have a larger meanwell din 24v power supply I am using to both supply power and power the contactor (with snubber). It seems to be w...

Re: Proximity Switch Wiring

Disregard. I got it figured out. I was looking at the end of the connector when orienting the pins. They needed to be mirrored from the drawing for the actual pins. I got the one working, now I have to redo all the rest....

Re: Proximity Switch Wiring

Cool. Well I got them all wired up and they aren't working. I hooked pin 1 (top position) to the 24v+ of the power supply, pin 3 (bottom position) to the 24v-, and pin 4 (right position) to input 1. I waved a metal pair of pliers over them and could not get any of them to switch input 1 or even turn...
