Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Hey guys, So I went through everything again today. All sensors and inputs check out. I did note that occasionally I had a position orient lost signal occasionally. I adjusted the VFD settings to give it a slightly larger stopping window and this resolved that error, it did not change my initial fau...

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Hey Marty,
Yes the valve has two manual override buttons. One for extend and one for retract.
When using override both sensors at either end of stroke are met and the corresponding input is confirmed via I/O on HMI.

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Hey Marty, Yes i do have the manual. M80 and M81 can only be used (to the best of my knowledge) in conjunction with AUX 12 OR according to marc with the PLC software i have AUX14. See post in this thread from March 14th 2021 @ 4:48 PM. I'm assuming this is for safety reasons to ensure operators don'...

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Hey Guys, Quick update. So i verified all sensors again via MDI commands and checking I/O screen. I have said this before but the only way i know of testing the sensors on the Carousel in Carousel out is via a tool change or physically as the AUX12 and AUX 14 functions on my VCP don't work or are no...

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Thanks a bunch guys. Ok so i have read through this a few times and am trying to wrap my head around it. Software or PLC programs do not normally change on their own so i have to do some sanity checks here. I'm not really good at reading code. I think the next double checks are the following? -Doubl...

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Agreed on Unclamp fault. I did manually test switches for clamp and unclamp by physically pushing roller switches. Inputs were coming on and off. Manual push of physical tool unlock button also works.
Have to do some more digging in on this.

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Thanks Marty,
Manually clamp and unclamp work via MDI.
Manually I have never been able to move the carousel in and out via MDI / M80 M81. I’m using virtual control and the whole AUX12 thing has always alluded me. See previous post on this last year.

Re: ATRUMP E216 Mill Conversion
Here is the Video:
I should also add that the draw bar does start to release but stops as soon as the spindle turns.
when fault happens spindle turns at VFD speed 6.9%
