Dual Axis
Setting up a dual Y axis mill and reading through the documentation which says at the bottom of page 17: " The Slave switch must be installed on the machine so that is trips FIRST." https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_diy/downloads/acorn_documentation/paired_axes_acorn_user_guide.pdf Sam...

Re: Spindle Speed and Feed Rates
Thanks for the reply and the link! I would love to pick up a high RPM spindle for wood and plastics. Really like idea of the spindle you linked has the same ER20 collet as my motor. Guessing I'd also need a VFD to get the 220V from a 120V outlet. Hard to know what's good and what will last with so f...

Spindle Speed and Feed Rates
1) If I import a file that has spindle speed of 18k and a feed rate of 240 ipm but my spindle (which has RPM control through my Acorn CNC controller) can only do a max of 3k RPM, will acorn give me a warning to tell me there is a difference between the requested RPM and the actual RPM of the spindle...

907 Y-Axis Travel Exceeded
I'm new to the CNC process and trying to run my first part. When I load a program and home my axis and try to run it I get a message that says "907 Y Axis Travel Exceeded". I've moved my axis to make sure none of my limit switches are tripped, reset the zero of my axis, and rehomed but sti...

G-Code Post Processor
I'm trying to run my first CNC program but confused what type(s) of code my post processor (V-Carve Pro) should output that is accepted by my Centroid CNC controller. In the manual there are chapters 11 and 12 has a summary summary list of M and G codes but I haven't found what types of code I shoul...

Changing CNC12 From MM to Inches
I'm running CNC12 pro license. I set my machine up in metric units but decided now after all that trouble I want to go back to inches. I went into the SETUP--> CONFIG, enter the password and changing my units from mm to inches it appears to only change the units on the top of my screen but it doesn'...

Software Part Design and G-Code Options
I just finished building my mill and last night ran a simple sample program for the first time. I'm very familiar with SOLIDWORKS and OnShape for CAD design but was wondering what my options are for making designs (if those are the best choices), and what my options are for turning those designs int...

Re: Homing Problems With Paired Axes
Everything working as it should. Had one odd thing happen. Noticed my dual axis stopped being paired randomly without me ever touching the paired axis window. I might have changed the units in the machine wouldn't think that would have any effect. One axis started moving but not the other and went b...

Re: Homing Problems With Paired Axes
Changing my inputs solved al of my issues. It now saves home direction and auto homes. Thank you so much for your help. I could've worked on this for days more and wouldn't have figured it out!
