I did install the BETA version and it did seem to import the file. The problem is it does not come in very well as gcode. Does autocad have to be set up a certain way to import smoothly?
Thanks

Re: Acorn CNC12 version 4.5 has been released!
Keith, I just got a response from the diysales mailbox and they said that the .dxf import capability will be incorporated into the next version 4.6. Is this true? If so when will that be released.
Thanks
Thanks

Axis Direction Setup
I am a new to CNC machining and the axis direction really messed me up. I found the easiest way to understand this and make sure its set up right is to get a piece of paper and draw a coordinate system and place it on the mill table. You can then click +x, -x, +y,-y. Z is easy to understand. When yo...

Re: Z Axis Plunging too Deep into part
Thanks Marty- I will make sure I do that. It seems the best measure at least in what I have found is that I get a more consistent result if I shut down CNC12 if I run a differnt job. If I don't it almost seems like part or all of the current job is still in memory? Not sure that makes sense or not?

Re: Z Axis Plunging too Deep into part

Not sure if that sounds right but thats whats happening. If I want to run a new program, i shutdown CNC12 and then pick the program...

Re: Z Axis Plunging too Deep into part
Thanks Marty- why do you say to use the spacebar for feedhold? Is clicking feedhold in the vp not a good way to do this? I can do that I just want to make sure Im not doing anything wrong. I actually printed out the entire manual. The thing that bothers me is it really is not up to date with the cur...

Also, when I command a move on any of the axis the dro will match the physical movement on the machine Is there a way I can do another check on the z axis home switch-when i click the reset home bu...
