Re: How to run a before every auto mode?

I want to reset my travel limits. I have to make them unsafe during tool change. If the tool change completes ok then they are made safe again at the end of the tool change macro. But if something happens during tool change or it is stopped, then the limits are left unsafe until next tool change com...

Re: Mazak Impulse - Oak retrofit build log

I didn't mention that in already do exactly that in my home macro to claim a bit of travel back as wasn't relevant. But it doesn't solve the problem of being able to stop past the home position then be out of bounds for homing next time. My point was that looking at both edges of the home switch, ev...

How to re-home?

How do you rehome the machine after power up? If a drive faults and you have to cycle the power to them. Doing so loses or gains some steps, so need to re-home after a fault occurs. Not that drive faults should be a regular occurrence, but they are at the moment! Currently I manually do M92/X M26/X ...

How to run a before every auto mode?

Is there a way to run a macro in the background every time a program is started or mdi opened?

I am guessing no but thought I would ask.

Re: Mazak Impulse - Oak retrofit build log

A few progress steps made today. I finally gave in and moved the home switches. For two reasons; to get rid of the dead band past them where if the machine was to stop there, next home would crash and so that one of my travel limits could be zero to enable screw compensation. 20210618_212339.jpg Fir...

Re: Skinning for an industrial CNC12 APP ---

Code looks like it is all good. Just one thing is to always make sure to handle input errors. For example Convert.ToDouble can probably raise an exception. So if the user entered something wrong or out of range your program could crash. Do your input checking in a try catch block and then only proce...

Re: Skinning for an industrial CNC12 APP ---

I'm working in C# to attempt a custom user screen for an industrial machine. Would anyone be able to help with the basic code needed to SET and GET values from parameters such as #100? private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { returnCode = m_skin.parameter.SetMachinePara...

Re: Skinning for an industrial CNC12 APP ---

I have used the skinning DLL and it works well. I am not sure exactly what you are trying to achieve. I think the function you are calling is giving access to machine parameters, not the g code variables that you want to write to. I dont know that you can access g code variables from the skinning g ...
