Re: How the Aux Key Triggered Macros behave when Part Program is running

Hello @cncsnw .... thanks for your detailed response which certainly exceeded expectations and pointed out the exact missing link in my communication that the latest Z motion was indeed indeterminate and probing type. Your answer is comprehensive and actionable. I had tried many things (around the t...

How the Aux Key Triggered Macros behave when Part Program is running

1. If the prat program is running in terms of say axis motions, will the Aux Key based simple Macro consisting of simple M94/M95 commands have its effect? e.g. start stop chip conveyor manually (this is only an academic example. The obvious correct approach is put this in PLC..... ). Will the...

Re: Is it possible to pause a job and then resume on the Acorn?

Suppose.....in the middle of an ongoing circular or linear interpolation, one hits tool check and jogs the X-Y axis manually to inspect &/or service tool tip. In such a situation can the program be resumed "exactly from the intermediate point" where tool check event happened - instead ...

Operator Prompts - Text and Pictures

Hello.... Wish to explore whether the "M200, M223, M224, M225 & M290 - Formatted String Commands" can be further enhanced for user experience by incorporating suitable pictures (Tool, Fixture, Pictorial Guidance for actions to be taken by the operator, Some Training Guidance, etc.). Pl...

Aux Keys 13 to 16 - Am I referring to a wrong document?

Hello On the Acorn VCP we have 6 columns and 10 rows. The earlier version had 5 columns which I have never used. For the new VCP we have 16 Aux keys against the 12 Aux keys in earlier version. In the M400 & M39 Operator's manual I am referring to, the 12 related parameters are explained as depic...

Re: Parameters Back Up Copy

:) What I realize with reference to other earlier & current generation CNCs known to me is that 'in one go' everything is backed and and restored. Selective backup and restoring of only Parameters does not seem to be possible. And yes - I could see the contents of the parameters file in the list...

Parameters Back Up Copy

Hello, 1. Which file stores the Machine and Other parameters on selecting Save? report.zip? 2. It seems it is possible to restore all desired parameter values in one go by using a saved (revision controlled) file. 3. Does the controller facilitate accessing the default values for being able to come ...

Re: Changing Orientation of the Cutting Path Graph

Thanks for all the responses. This is a demonstration of collective wisdom at work for me. I shall experiment with few of the suggestions. F8-Graph and F2-View/Rotate would be the main solution and finally following the right hand thumb rule should resolve this completely. Shall try today. tks.........
