Re: Overall turns / steps not correct

Was the mach setup in mm? If it was it would make sense to assume that was 83.5 steps per mm. Which would be 2120.9 steps per inch. Assuming a driver set at 2000 Microstep per rev, turns per inch would be 2120.9 / 2000 or 1.06045 It's set at 1600, but i'll try your formula and see if this fixes the...

Re: Overall turns / steps not correct

Upload a report so we can see the rest of your setup information. What are the mechanical turns per inch for each axis - the physical pitch of the ballscrew and whatever pulley ratio there is. What is the steps per rev for each axis? This is a physical constant and is based on the number of steps s...

Re: Overall turns / steps not correct

I posted the following on FB but received no acknowledgement from you You have stated the following: 1) you have set overall turns ratio for both X and Y to 1.3251 (assume inches) 2) When you command a 1 inch move for Y you see an actual movement of 0.9865 3) When you command a 1 inch move for X yo...

Overall turns / steps not correct

My CNC came with the following written in the cabinet X,Y 83.5 Z 160 These were the specials for steps per I put into mach3. Worked absolutely perfectly. Converted to acorn over a year ago. Still does not cut accurately. I've made a jig to hold a pair of digital calipers and instructed the x and y t...

Re: why does centroid never remember its coordinate/home

Also, what sense does it make for you to click PARK and it to lower its z height first and then move XY, Z move should be last to ensure no CRASHES

why does centroid never remember its coordinate/home

Once you shut down CNC12 Pro it forgets your machine home, your park coordinates as well. Why?

Is this just a hobby controller?

Probe gets to one end and just stays and moves up and down

Doing a surface digitizing. The probe will go across the object and come back (zig zag pattern selected) However every other time it goes back and forth at one end it will stay in one spot and just go up and down like very small, maybe 1/64" and keep doing that until I have to touch the probe a...

Thanks for your response but I'd like to hear it directly from centroid and not a customer of centroid. No offense intended
