Yesterday, I have updated my CNC12 software to version 14.4.
I saw that there are several new options in the wizard regarding the probing.
As I am planning on installing a new touch probe for the z-axis (e.g. http://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1493&hilit=part+zeros ) , I am not ...

Updated Operator Manual for CNC 12 Acorn 14.4
Hi all,
I can not find any updated manual for the new version of the CNC 12 software. Am I just blind ?
Thanks
Uwe

Re: Correct wiring of limit switches
Forgot to paste the link to that Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbT9SSVoeZc&t=1284s)
Based on that video, I eventually kept my original wiring (both end switches in series for each axis) and configured limits for both - and + as well as home for one of the direction and luckily, it seems to ...

Re: Correct wiring of limit switches
Just found a video on youtube.
This guy also used the same wiring as I did (i.e. both switches of one axis in one separate series circuit). Seems like his controller (Mach3) is able to handle that for homing and limit detection. As far as I understood one of martyscncgarage video, he also had home ...

Re: Correct wiring of limit switches
Thanks for the advice !
as all cables meet inside teh control box i will have to install one more wire for each axis so that i can distingusih home and limit and recombine them accordingly. is there no simpler way by using some intelligent feature of the acorn ? anyway, I will try and keep you ...

Simple spindle on/off with Acorn CNC 12 software
I am using a Kress 1050 spindle which has no sensors but simply a manual on/off and speed regulator.
So from the CNC12 software, I only need to switch the machine on and off via one of the Acorn outputs and a relay.
I know how to configure the output signals to one of the output pins and in fact ...

Correct wiring of limit switches
Finally, the HW of my CNC monster(Acorn with 3 Leadshine Controllers and Nema 34 Servos) is ready and I have started the calibration.
First thing I noticed, I may have got the wiring of the limit switches wrong.
For each axis, I have two limit switches (NC) wired in one loop and connected to one of ...

Datasheet for Acorn board
I am setting up my new Acorn board with a Leadshine compatible servo driver and it seems that thanks to the many resources in this forum and on Youtube I am progressing step by step.
However, for some technical details like input and output pin specification, timing etc. I would like to refer some ...
