Re: Emco PC Turn 55
The board software was modified yesterday and some quirkyness occurred Just noticed today a lot more of them and for some reason it's going to junkmail. I have not seen anymore as of the software update. They could have all occurred later the same day. Just noticed yesterday my junk box had several...

Re: Emco PC Turn 55
I totally agree with what you’re saying...hopefully they see this and give it some consideration. I wanted to get some automated probe setup going as it seems super cool but I honestly don’t make much of anything and can live without it for now. I ended up buying a Haimer 3D Taster (Taster??? WTF? ...

Re: Encoder mounting and runout interesting find
Just a suggestion to decouple your encoder from vibrations or imbalance issues. This is what I used on mine versus the heavy duty encoder. Only downside is it requires more space. However in my Emco lathe cabinet, there was a cutout for the old encoder electronics which allowed me the extra space. I...

Re: PLC Program For Emco PC Turn 55 (using original turret board and motor) <Success>
Hey Marty, I actually totally forgot about this stuff. It took me a while to get my lathe Z keeper and turret pawl rebuilt due to my back issues. So when I finally got it done, a new project for my mill popped up and the lathe dropped off my radar. I'm about to need it soon, so in the next few weeks...

Re: PLC Program For Emco PC Turn 55 (using original turret board and motor) <Success>
I'll update the code in this thread soon. If you check my other thread, you'll see I had mechanical issues that are hopefully now all solved. The new code addresses several issues if you use the macro buttons on the pendant along with Aux buttons on the Virtual Control Panel. There were a couple of ...

Re: Emco PC Turn 55
Sorry, I dropped the ball on posting. Ended up when I did my first test cut, the lathe keepers (plates below the Z made from plastic) were not tight like the seemed moving by hand. Also had the turret jam up. So ended up having to pull the entire bed, milled out a one piece keeper from aluminum bron...

Re: Lathe X and Fusion 360 Post Question
Hi, That's why I don't use Fusion unless a customer has something I cant do on the controls. I'm 65 and you cant teach an old dog that many new tricks. Mastercam frustrated me so much. Ron LOL....sort of how I feel about Intercon. Never had an issue using Fusion before. I'd find it hard to believe ...

Re: Lathe X and Fusion 360 Post Question
Hi, Pull up the pawn intercom program and set your tools in intercon and try running the pawn program. I have not used fusion for our lathe but have on our milltronics and Haas vmcs. I had to set the work coordinate in my Fusion setup in my tool calls and use the tool tables in the mills G55,G56 et...

Re: Lathe X and Fusion 360 Post Question
Hi, First to make sure you have your x revs/mm set correctly set a dial indicator up to measure x travel. Then go to incremental jog and hit .100 your measurement should be half the increment setting so should be reading .050 0n indicator. If that's true next is Looking at your report it states you...
