My assumption about the meaning of "Rapid Between Cuts" was wrong and led me to discount that as a solution.
Toggling that to NO fixed my problem without making the Z axis return at feed rate.

Re: Simple question Re: Intercon Profile feed rate control
I thought about de-selecting "rapid between cuts", but I am making long lateral cuts, so the return at feed speed of 5 ipm would take 2 minutes.

Simple question Re: Intercon Profile feed rate control
My Acorn system with Sureservo2 is working well generally. I'm setting up a production line for musical instrument such as clarinets etc. I use Profile in some steps of my process. When the tool enters the work, it does so as a rapid move which is too fast. I see in the Turning feature that there is...

Re: Lathe fourth axis active tooling
Thanks Uwe. I have Pro, so I will upgrade to ultimate. I have a spare Acorn, so I was thinking that if I added a small Z axis slide and a vertical slide, I could machine the features I want with a completely independent system of control running mill software. I think I could program an output from ...

Re: Lathe fourth axis active tooling
I have collected all the parts for the Y axis. I can install it in a couple of days. It will only have an inch of travel, but that’s all I need. I need to be able to make a seat for the valves of the instrument to seat against. That seat needs a planar surface. Not sure I can get that using C axis. ...

Lathe fourth axis active tooling
My acorn lathe is working well now so I want to start planning the next layer of features I need for my woodwind instrument manufacturing. My turret is on the front of my X axis and I want to mount a high speed spindle on the back of the X axis to make the finger holes in the barrel of the instrumen...

Printing out Intercon programs
I would like to print out my Intercon programs so I can annotate them to help in the trouble shooting process.
I don't see a print utility in CNC12. Am I missing something. Is there a work-around other than "print screen"?
Thanks,
Ken Wallace, San Diego

Lathe Sauter Turret ATC needs more I/O for control
<t>My 18" Chevallier is making parts under Acorn control now.<br/> However, I am changing the turret position manually.<br/> The Turret software that is built into the CNC12 appears to lack two control features I need.<br/> My turret has a solenoid that drives a locking pin into the rotating part to...

Re: The addition of the SureServo2 drives to the Wizard. It dawned on me that those definitions live in CNC12 not on the Acorn.... Sorry.
