I'm currently running my 2-axis lathe on the Acorn board.
I'm getting ready to convert my mill to CNC.
Is it possible to run both (not at the same time..) on ONE Acorn board?
Also - I have the MPG pendant. If I do have to get a 2nd Acorn board, can the pendant be used on both?

CNC12 Lathe - Help turning a taper
I'm trying to turn a taper and it's not coming out right. It should be a 1.27 degree taper, tapering from .460 to .378 over 1.85" It's turning a taper going from .460 to .390 over 1.85" Checked my X and Z axis and they are on track, moving the correct amount individually. Open Loop Stepper...

Tool Library - Knurling Tool
I can't find a Knurling Tool in the Tool Library. My goal is to turn a part, change to the Knurling tool and then knurl a portion of that part. I see an option for CUSTOM but it leaves the name as Custom and may not work for a knurling tool. Is there such a tool in the library that I can't see or wh...

Re: Well this ain't quite The Pawn
The X axis does show that backlash. It’s belt driven.
Kit from BDTools USA
Hybrid motors in parallel
Microsteos set to 2000. Am I correct in that regard on my motor settings? Default 1600 and I set to 2000 assuming that referred to steps.

Inconsistent Feed Distance
I've been working on setting my revolutions per inch on my G0602 Lathe. Using Marty's Excel calculator. After about 15 iterations, I finally got my X axis to turn exactly one half inch and match the DRO (1”). I thought I was golden. I went on to the Z-axis and after getting it set, went back to test...

Re: Turns Per Inch
OK. Adding the G98 did it. Telling it to move X-1 and it moves .640. I get that is a turns per setting I'll run the calc tomorrow and get it tuned in. To return to X0 would it be a G98 G1 X1 or does that move 1" on the other side of 0? (it seems to is why I ask) To be clear. I jog x to a point ...
