Tool Length offsets and Part offsets
HI guys, I've just (almost) completed a retrofit from Anilam to Centroid Oak on a large bed mill, and it's been running very well in the early stages, but I keep having a reoccurring issue that I'm hoping someone with a bit more centroid experience can help me with. I followed CNCSNW's tool length o...

Re: New Oak Install
HI Everyone, it's been a few weeks without coming here, so I just thought I'd provide an update: The machine is working without the ATC and the 4th axis, I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to work on those last little things. I quoted a huge turning job before I finished the retrofit, and I wo...

Re: New Oak Install
Thanks Marc, I'll just wait for your program I think. this is way over my head. I'm really just posting this stuff so the next person has a trail of breadcrumbs to follow. There's a lot of these frenic drives in Australia (and probably all over the world), No doubt someone else will be wondering thi...

Re: New Oak Install
HI everyone, I think I have this all figured out, sorta, here is the latest spreadsheet for the Frenic Pinouts.
I can't hardly wait to have this sorted and never look at it again.

Re: New Oak Install
Hi Marc, Ive had a good look over, and I think you are correct in your assumptions above. I’ll post an updated spindle connection spreadsheet today which I think will be right. How would I do +/-10v from the Oak though? I have searched beyond sanity and cannot find anything on the subject. I’m keen ...

Re: New Oak Install
Hey thanks for that, someone else sent me that same schematic, but I disregarded it as it has CN3-2 connected as well. did you get my PM? I'm drafting you a list of IO now.

Re: New Oak Install
Thanks Marty and Marc. Marc, Yes you are correct in the +/-10VDC assumption, I just wasn't aware that the Centroid could do that. I will wire the Zero-speed connection to the INP12 as you mentioned, thank for the heads up there, I was wondering what to do with it. I will send you a PM when I finish ...

Re: Swing arm ATC
Thank guys. Thanks for everything, I really do appreciate. I know I'm being a pain the backside right now, so I do appreciate your patience. for people that do this kind of thing all the time, I must be annoying as hell.

Re: New Oak Install
Hi Marty, If you could take a look over this I would very much appreciate it. This is the drive interface from the manual for the Frenic 5000ms5 spindle drive. It is only the "Typical" installation and doesn't include the option cards which are present in my machine. spindle connections pr...
