Re: Acorn 3d model

lol it looks like everyone is doing the same thing.
here's pic of the one i made, mounting points were accurate enough to make a case.
I 3d printed a prototype case, I'll be making a final version out of acrylic.

Re: Auto Z mesh leveling

FWIW I just finished with a meeting in which I presented requirements to implement Auto Z mesh leveling and Skew correction in the Acorn Wizard and Acorn Pro software. No additional software or modification of the G code will be needed. An interface will be provided that allows a probe to be used ...

Re: Auto Z mesh leveling

I did not know about the XY skew correction. Good to know!

I'd like the concept of G-code ripper and it may work just fine for some people.
As I learn more about CNC, I'm looking to simplify my toolchain, so fewer and more reliable pieces of software the better it is for me.
Plus... If and when ...

Auto Z mesh leveling

Hey Guys i'm very new to the Centroid world. So I'm just learning about all the features it has, and so far i'm pretty impressed.

Does the Centroid software/hardware have Z mesh leveling feature?
This has been showing up in many hobby CNC controllers in the last couple of years.
If you don't know ...

Re: DIN mounting options

You're probably right. I'm 3d printing other brackets, I might as well make one for the Acorn.

DIN mounting options

Is there a bracket for DIN mounting the acorn?

I found this...
modular_open_pcb_supports(1).jpg

It's for 107mm boards and it looks like the acorn will probably fit.
There are 10mm, 18.5mm, and 35mm lengths you can snap together.

Is there a better option? Does Centroid offer a DIN mount kit ...

Re: USB MPG

If the jog dial lets us alter the feed and speed, that functionality is duplicated with 4 buttons.
Since the number of buttons are limited, Id rather have a few more macro buttons instead.
Currently I don't change feeds and speeds often, if I do, I'll modify the gcode for a permanent fix.

As a ...

Re: First Cnc project

Looks great!
I like the idea of using aluminium extrusions for a frame.
I'm going to be building a new acorn system soon!

Discovered the Acorn!

Hey Guys! A new member to the forum !
I recently discovered the Acorn and I just ordered one! 8-)

A little about my machine…
I have a CNCRouterParts Pro4896 a 4ft.x8ft. milling monster, I’m a bit new to the game, but I’m loving every minute of it so far. CNCRouterParts has a CNC control system ...
