Re: Retrofit Acorn to full blown Acorn Six
Everything connected now, I can start to fine tune the drives and geometrical correction. The first test with probe and a gauge ring is not too bad.. Uwe Is this the main method by which you do the finetuning for the axis - ie, you use something like a dial gauge to confirm the 'rough' setup (eithe...

Re: HELP ! Bridgeport series 2 interact 2
Hi all, I'll probably start a build thread for my Series 2 Interact 4 retrofit when I get into it more. Basically the same machine as the I2 but I think the 2 uses a KTK spindle drive rather than the Contraves I have. The axis DC motors and drives are the same, and the Heidenhain is similar but the...

Re: Acorn back up
Just copy the replacement install, then replace. At worst, just delete it and undo or uninstall and start again.

Re: Acorn back up
I *think* you can just copy it over completely and it should work. IE, do the new install, copy the entire contents of /cncm structure over and replace. Might have a version conflict, but no harm in trying. I'm sure the regulars will be online to suggest other options ...

Re: Ethernet Switch - Power / Wiring
This looks like the same switch, perhaps different label but same connector etc. On this it suggests that V1 and V2 are 2 different sources in case you wanted resilience? So use use V1 - as GND and V1 + as 24V DC? https://www.amazon.co.uk/MokerLink-Industrial-100Mbps-Ethernet-DIN-Rail/dp/B09WYHMV14/...

Ethernet Switch - Power / Wiring
Hi, I've got one of the DC powered switches with my Eth1616 which is a welcome addition. Ive been using another switch in the meanwhile but now keen to install this one. Its got two sets of inputs, which do I use on 24V DC please? The docs show the spec of it, not any wiring info. I also dont see an...

Re: ATC Info
Yes... just looked that up on the Centroid website. I feel fairly confident that I can machine the tool changer with the Geneva cam. The real question remaining is where I can locate the macro and PLC programming? Is this available on the Centroid website? Just google for it but its all on the webs...
