Re: Servo motor temperature

On my Panasonics, I can see a 'strength' figure, between 1 and 31 which equates to a table of PID settings - I find for spindle use, I run mine really low (like 1 or 2) otherwise I get odd hunting etc. Is there a similar setting on your drive?

Can you check what load % (Amps or Torque) its running at 400 RPM? Anything mechanically binding?

Re: BETA Volumetric Compensation available to try out.

For some reason I read this thread last night. Do I understand the feature correctly ....?

I can take a machine which isnt 'perfect' and effectively tune each axis to make small live adjustments to ensure that each axis is as perfect as possible?

This is very interesting if so. I have a 2 ton DIY ...

Re: New Build - 'Audit' CNC - Lathe Attachment

Just looking at board options. The tool turret has PNP proximities and also for the angular position feedback. I know with Acorn we cannot read PNP which is a pain and it either needs some trickery or an Eth1616 board.

I'm also concerned about the latency that I saw when I was trying to do my ...

Re: Lathe Tool Offsets - Tool Relationships?

Ive ordered a 2nd hand Renishaw setup for my lathe. Its too big but will try make it fit. I also dont have the interface hardware, so will see if it works as is. I have actually got a Renishaw M15 interface on a lathe but its outside and despite being covered, may have been damaged and I dont know ...

Re: IPGregory - MPNC Build Thread

Ye, the macro writing isnt too complex. All depends on your level of understanding around basic coding (very basic) and then using the existing macros and reverse engineering / understanding how they work. That's all I do. Then between that, experimenting and this great forum, we get there ...
