Re: Robotool retro

After setting up Z every time I did go out and get a Z setter. I'm popping fuses. Back to manual till I figure it out. I'm happy the way the machine is running! brake side.jpg My son printed some poly holders that are neat. poly holders.jpg I did get a air cylinder for the brake. Haven't figured out...

Re: 417 abnormal end of job

The problem is the program number. "O9101" on line 2 of the program tells the Centroid control that the code which follows, until the next M99, are part of a subprogram that should be extracted and saved for later use (rather than being run immediately). Look up M98 and G65 in the operato...

417 abnormal end of job

I am unable to run any NC except the Center drill OP 910. The file size seems off on the others. I tried copy and paste NC to another new document no luck, same file size. I don't think it is a Acorn issue but thought I would try here too. Seems like 9101 should work. Fusion file link if that helps....

Re: Cam software recommendations for Centroid

Freecad PP for Centroid is working so far, but I have only made some very simple mill and drill tests and one VCarve. This is the last one we have and I renamed it for my uses. I just add it to the V19 folder where they reside. centroidLAST_post.py.txt You may want to keep an eye on here for more of...

Re: Cam software recommendations for Centroid

See http://www.cncsnw.com/PostProcessorsMill.htm and http://www.cncsnw.com/PostProcessorsLathe.htm A person without a Centroid-controlled machine available can always install the offline Demo software, and verify G-code programs using F8/Graph. THX I had already relayed that to FC and offered my he...

Re: Cam software recommendations for Centroid

I have been migrating over to FreeCad from Fusion and their Centroid PP is messed up. I have been working with them on fixing it. So far we have promising results but it still needs tweekin. I posted a simple part with a single hole last night and it worked but with home, tool change location and ho...

Re: Cam software recommendations for Centroid

How did you get BobCad to generate code that Acorn can read? Drill hole pattern makes a subprogram which I am having trouble reading in Acorn. BobCad has a post processor for Centroid mills and lathes. Or you can use the Fanuc post as well. I've used both and don't have any issues with my G-code ru...

Re: Cam software recommendations for Centroid

Are there any cheap, yes in poor, lol, Cam programs that can develop tool paths strategically and logically so all to have to do is load the cad file and it can do it automatically without intervention. Uh, cheap and good? Those two things rarely go together! I too have used Fusion and yes, it take...

Re: Robotool retro

Thanks for the tips. I don't see myself buying a auto tool height probe anytime soon. I doubt I will be making much money with this. Aren't they like $600? You can make both the movable and fixed tool touch off plates yourself. They both can be the "conductive" type and both are wired to ...

Re: Robotool retro

The pendant just came in and had it working fine in no time. Why can't everything be so PNP? Although I have to say I just got a new wireless router and setup was painless. I hope it is more stable than the other two 10 yr old ones I have.
