Re: Cutter Comp Wear Only?
Thanks Swissi, that is a good way to check if they have been modified. I'm kind of hoping Kieth can chime in with some insight as to whether this would be a simple edit or a non trivial change to implement. Would there be any down side to allowing a negative value in the diameter box? Is the goal ju...

Cutter Comp Wear Only?
Hi All, No problems with my machine for this post, just a general question about CNC 12. I would like to use cutter comp with wear only, letting my CAM software program to the theoretical tool diameter. I was thinking this would be very simple but I found out today that CNC 12 will not let you put a...

Re: Z Issue After Tool Touch Off
Well I believe you all are right! I need to do some more vetting but I believe I found the issue and it lies with my closed loop stepper drive. The drive has two correction methods to simulate a servo, which are position and tracking mode. When the any z rapid to machine zero is initiated, the motor...

Re: Z Issue After Tool Touch Off
I did change that in my trouble shooting thinking that if I did not go all the way to zero maybe it would resolve the problem. But it still happens with the z-.1 location as well.

Z Issue After Tool Touch Off <resolved>
Hi Folks, I am having an issue with my tool touch off macro. I think this really a problem with G30/G28/G53 moves but I will explain in detail with some background info to see if anyone has some insight. My machine can Z home in a repeatable manner and typically does so well under .0005". I hav...

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
Hey Swissi, I have been using probe app v2 and it has been running great so far. One question for you though, is it possible to change the default location on the screen for the pop-up window? I am using a 720p screen and even though I know I'm supposed to be using a 1080p screen everything on the c...

Re: New CNC conversion of PM30 - Drive Fault Error
If the CL86Y is similar to the CL57Y (which I'm guessing it is) you can use the dip switches to select a normally closed alarm fault. As referenced in Marty's videos, this is a little safer (since it will account for wire failure) and in my opinion tidier since it lets your wire your drive ok input ...

Re: Acorn Carousel Tool Changer
Hey Marty,
Looking through the posts on umbrella ATCs I have noticed you have mentioned the Centroid umbrella plc a few times. The Acorn ATC zip I have found only contains a rack mount plc and the rest are for lathe turrets. Could you point me in the direction of the umbrella plc?

Re: WMPG-4 Wireless MPG w/ Acorn
Thank you for the explanation. That makes complete sense, though you would have my vote for enabling that feature in future CNC12 versions. Otherwise, thanks for the great product!
