Re: Centroid Post-processor for FUSION 360

Hi Uwe,

Many thanks for your help; already downloaded post from Swissi, applied in my testing part, moved to the machine, and it workd all fine.

Generates the manual tool change very similarly to the old original Centroid´s.

Re: Centroid Post-processor for FUSION 360

I will have another look, because I´m sure I´m selecting Centroid Mill post processor for sure... this is really strange. I am repeatedly making tests with same Part and the two Centroid versions I have: #43967 and #44083 and both are creating parenthesis and the old one creates a line as "T1 M...

Re: Centroid Post-processor for FUSION 360

Thank you for your response Uwe. In your experience what can be the issue, and also, what is the post-processor your are using from F360 to Centroid Acorn, and what version ? Below is how I have the setups for the tool : Tick cambio Manual HTA en el setup.jpg and in the postprocessor: Tick parametro...

Centroid Post-processor for FUSION 360

I am facing an issue post-processing from Fusion 360 to my Centroid Acorn. I have explained the issue to Autodesk, and response has been they do not accept post-processors modification request, but I do not know if this is exactly the case... This is what happens: - I have the tools marked in F360 a...

Re: Issue with MDI setting RPM using M3 and actual RPM in the mill

Now, my "electronic" question is: Would the error reduce (red curve) if I change the capacity ? No. The capacitor only removes the high frequency AC component of the signal resulting in a cleaner DC voltage. To reduce the "error" between the measured RPM and the commanded RPM, y...

Re: Issue with MDI setting RPM using M3 and actual RPM in the mill

Issue has been almost solved... ! Below there are several data about tests today. I have measured voltage for different commanded Speeds, in a variaty of situations. Basically these have been the learnings: 1) I had parameter #33 as the mechanical ratio between electric motor and spindle (0.62). By ...

Issue with MDI setting RPM using M3 and actual RPM in the mill

Hello, I have a wabeco 1210 HS quite successfully working with Centroid Acorn. I want to try riggid tapping, and have incorporated an encoder with 4096 lines. Basic implemented setup: - Encoder is a SICK incremental, wired according to schematics in Acorn documentation. - Counts per revolucion = 163...

Help on encoder input voltage - Acorn Mill application

Hello, I have Acorn controlling my Wabeco, and want to add a spindle encoder to allow rigid tapping. I am not skilled in electronics and need help to understand what voltage input is available for the encoder. My current understanding from the schematic is +5V. I am selectigng an encoder from SICK G...

Re: ALTAROS turret setup with ACORN Control ?

Thanks very much Uwe. I would like to follow your project of self-designed turret. I own an EMCO CT60 which I use for prototyping and small/not complicated production parts. Its turret is really smail, 4 ext tools and 4 int tools, and has a mechanism with following basic characteristics: 1) Turns on...
