Re: Very Exciting Boring Machine Conversion

That is my set up now except I am not jumping at the 8 pin connector, I have them all tied together at a bus bar located in the enclosure.

Looking into stranded Cat6.
Thank you.

Re: Very Exciting Boring Machine Conversion

Dustboy- just confirming you followed the schematic as shown previously (removing the orange lines where you had the resistors) and used cat6. I am having the same issues you are describing after going from a router to a spindle- I have shielded data cable going to my clear paths but NOT twisted pai...

Re: Clearpath Inline resistor wiring.

Thank you Tom. I was just a little nervous running 24volt with a resistor into the board where the step and direction terminals are. Sound like it should not cause any issues.

Re: Clearpath Inline resistor wiring.

I started a new thread for clarity as the other one was slightly different topic. This was is more focused. Per Clearpath for long cable runs it is beneficial to run a +24 volt line with 100K resistor (this was mentioned on a phone call with Tecknic as instructions state 10K) inline with the step an...

Clearpath Inline resistor wiring.

Greetings. I have a simple question with regards to putting a resistor with 24 volt power inline to clear paths step and direction input. Please see attached image, I believe that these 2 schematics (I use the term schematics loosely) accomplish the same thing- only in Option "A" I have 24...

Re: VFD Interference with Clearpath Servos

Smoke is never a good sign. We call it "letting out the magic blue smoke". Is there any chance that you connected H1-Voltage IN or H4-Voltage IN to H2-Common? The Common signal is next to Step-2. Here's a screen shot of page 47 of the Teknic ClearPath manual that shows where to add the re...

Re: VFD Interference with Clearpath Servos

Your report also shows you have many Ethernet Communication Errors going back to May last year; you are still running the outdated CNC12 v4.20.1; and your RPMs/inch are set to X=0.25 / Y=0.0996 / Z=0.3143 which do not seem plausible I will look into this a bit more, I know on my Y axis there is a 1...

Re: VFD Interference with Clearpath Servos

I think my issues are depper- before the blue magic smoke it was working amazing. I will look at updating the program- the bad thing is that I did export a system file sometime ago , made some changes and thought I would go back to the settings that I know worked and it errored out! Everyone- thank ...

Here is the image with the H4 since I noticed I duplicated the above image. It might be time for glasses.
