Re: KP-3 and TT-4 best practices
How do you setup the probe if both the Probe and the Tool Touch off device are Switches? My Z Ref is Home, if i use the Probe to set Z WCS then how does it offset the tools? If i try and use the TT device to set the Probe Offset it trips them both, or one or the other first which would be inaccurate...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
I thought i would follow up on my issue here for others that may have had or have the same issue as me. I ended up ordering the 86H-DHT-A6MK1 1.0kW motor from DMM for my Z Axis and installed on my PM 940 and it works like a dream with stock setup settings. I have sent one of the 750w motors back to ...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
I was able to get ahold of Precision Mathews and also confirmed with the gentleman that sold me the Ballscrew Kit who has a PM-940 also and it weighs 220 lbs.

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
Ok, i am working on it still to hopefully not use that but it looks like i am headed towards the counter balance. I just now looked at it between 2-3 hours and have a fault from it just sitting there of over heat and a solid red light, but it lasted way longer.

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
Well i have some encouraging news with the PM-940 build. I put a counter weight on my Z axis and have ran it up and down 8 times without any faults. I let it sit the last 2 hours and it is holding good. It is very crude so I can’t do a lot of testing but as soon as I take it off it faults when I mov...

Sounds good i appreciate it and i will get started looking. I am sure i can rig something up crude like to see if that fixes it like you said then go from there. Thanks Again and i will update next week when i return home.

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
I don't have scales and have emailed PM to see if they know, but i have read several forums and most say around 240-280? But i am currently away so even i did have a way i couldn't do it now. If you have any advise or suggestions for the best type of counter weighting, i am away now so i could order...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
I would probably manually run the z up and down by hand. I am not so sure I would be buying new parts just yet. In fact, if I had the proper size stepper motor, I would cobble it in for a test... I don't have another motor of any sort as this is my first CNC machine!!!! And man hasn't it been a fun ...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
I completely agree, like i said i am gonna take the Head off and pull the Z ball screw out and look at everything i ordered new bearings (the ones in are brand new already) see if there is anything i can find. Its a 32mm ballscrew so its plenty big, i ordered the kit from Arizona99 YouTube gentleman...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues
Yes when i swapped the first motor, i moved the X motor to the Z. So i tried the X drive, cables and motor on the Z and it failed. So i unhooked the X axis drive and cables and put the Y axis drive and cables on the same motor and same results. So then i hooked up the Y motor and tried each axis dri...
