Re: Proximity Sensor issue, never trips? < solved, used NPN>

KB58, no offense taken. However, did you notice that the In4148 is reversed biased, which is the correct orientation for its use as a shunt to protect an Acorn Input. The Acorn input is basically an opto-coupler. The Anode of the opto-coupler is connected to +24VDC internally. The Cathode of the op...

Re: upgrade reverts to free

... My problem is it has been years since I installed a license and I don't remember how. I have looked at everything I can find and don't see an answer. .... Jim, if you installed v5.04 and then copied the setup info from screen dumps taken from v4.64, then importing the license is easy: F7 Utilit...

Re: extremely frustrated after v5.02 install

... The problem is I was NOT able to get screenshots of any of the screens in the Primary system (see attached png.) ... That is because you have the "Custom PLC" option set to YES in Wizard ( Preferences -> Wizard ). Set it to NO and your "Primary System" info will be available...

Re: Centroid Acorn and TB6600 Motor Drivers <answered>

I have been fighting this for a few days. I was using the screw terminals to try and drive the generic TB6600 stepper drivers and it just wouldn't work. By tapping into the DB25 it works great. I wish it was better documented . It is well documented (see pg.24 in the Acorn Installation Manual ). Yo...

Re: Macro recording to file < g code ripper discussion >

Having re-read this thread from page 1 and the other referenced, I have to say that Uwe has gone above and beyond to help the OP and with little or no appreciation for his considerable effort. I find this attitude disrespectful to say the least. So Hivoltage, leave your attitude at the door next ti...

Re: Question about design software....

So I guess my question is, for a DIY/Hobbyist woodworker, what's a reasonably priced CAM/design software? I would like to be able to make signage and maybe take 2D designs and turn them into toolpaths for engraving or embossing. .... For a DIY/Hobbyist woodworker, what's a reasonably priced CAM/des...

There are 3 encoder ports on the Acorn SIX, but there are 6 more on the additional expansion board (sold separately)! Have a look at the bottom-right corner of the picture that Keith just posted!

Re: AC Tech SCF230

Look into using TB-14 or TB-15 open-collector programmable outputs! Parameters 06 and respectively 13 control their function. By default they are set to None (01).
