Re: Intercon feature requests.

Cncsnw,
You are correct. I would like to set Z zero with the probe and Z ref to zero at the same time. Or be able to type in a value for Z ref.

Sorry I hijacked the thread with something that's not related to intercon.

Re: Intercon feature requests.

Toaster, I almost always set Z zero at the top of my part.

Re: Intercon feature requests.

Toaster,
The existing rectangular pocket allows me to define the pocket using negative values in X and/or Y relative to the starting point.
So in intercon; insert, cycles, FRAME, inside rectangle, position type, CORNER.
So for example corner at 0,0
Length (here's the thing) -123
And /or
Width ...

Re: Intercon feature requests.

Make intercon internal rectangular frame accept negative values for X and. Y lengths, like rectangular pocket.

Give us a way to force the Zref in the tool library to always equal zero, or better, shut it off, or type in a value.
I use a cheap touch probe to set part Z zero, but then I have to go to ...

Shawn, could you please pm me that magic keyword? I'm probably not knowledgeable enough to make the change , but I really don't need the two key chord for safety reasons.
thanks,
Ron

Re: Where is CNC12 v5.20+?

lately we have been averaging 2-3 major updates per year.

Will the next major update bring back simple, one handed keyboard jogging? :D

see my other post on this

I'd like to add my 2 cents regarding the (new) keyboard jogging.
Please consider making the single key jogging (like in ...

Re: acorn to ahha!

Gentlemen,
I know it's been a while, but I wanted to post an update.
I got the Centroid talking to the Ahha! I get good repeatability and no lost steps. Rapid travels (when the machine is actually warm like 60F) of 60 ipm X and Y, 40 on Z (I move the knee).

Nobody responded to my request for ...

Re: acorn to ahha!

Gentlemen,
I'm still struggling with this.
I still have a CNC running the Ahha! hardware and software, and the machine moves on three axis just fine. Rapids on the order of about 60ipm. Open loop steppers, step and direction motor drives from Ahha!. That gives me reason to believe that if I can get ...

Re: acorn to ahha!

ShawnM,
At the moment, I'm broke. I don't have the energy or money to upgrade now. If I can make the step and direction connections, I'm sure it will work as well as it did back in the day. Not great, but way better than manual.
I'd like to be able to use the cnc to make new motor mounts, among ...
